WA: ANM members jailed for racially motivated attacks in Perth

Two members of the neo-Nazi Australian Nationalist Movement have been jailed for their
part in a campaign of racially motivated attacks on properties in Perth.

DANIEL TYRONE KLAVINS, aged 26, and 20-year-old FRANK JAMES LEMIN this week pleaded
guilty to wilfully damaging premises in Perth, including a synagogue, police station,
chinese restaurant and kosher food store.

In Perth Magistrates Court, KLAVINS has been sentenced to 10 months behind bars for
18 counts of wilful damage arising from a wave of racist graffiti dating back 18 months.

LEMIN, his co-accused on 11 charges, has been jailed for seven months.

Another man, BENJAMIN WEERHEYM -- who pleaded guilty to nine counts of wilful damage
-- received a six-month sentence, suspended for a year.

The extreme right-wing ANM is headed by JACK VAN TONGEREN, who spent 12 years behind
bars for racially motivated fire bombings in Perth in the 1980s.
